The UK-based European wireless broadband provider, The Cloud has raised €15m (£8.5m) of new investment in a third round of venture funding, which should enable it to continue with its European expansion.

Velocix, previously known as CacheLogic, has raised $27m funding from a combination of venture capital firms 3i, Amadeus Capital Partners and Pentech Ventures. The company intends to use the investment to deploy its Content Delivery Network for global online video delivery.
